Construction
Groundworks begin on the Bedford resort site
Early enabling works and surveys are now underway on the 476-acre site, marking the first visible signs of construction.

Early enabling works have begun on the former brickworks site near Kempston Hardwick, the location chosen for the Universal United Kingdom Resort.
Contractors have been spotted carrying out ground surveys, fencing and access road preparation. These initial works are a precursor to the major vertical construction phase expected later in the decade.
Local authorities have confirmed that the project is progressing on schedule, with the resort still targeting a 2031 opening. We will continue to track every milestone here as it happens.
